Day 6 5th July 2013 Sherlock River Rest Area to Karratha

Well what can I say today to do justice to the tremendous time we have had again?  97 Km (shortest day so far) mostly down wind again achieving another 33km/hour average speed over the entire day.

Awoke in the dark this morning to ensure we would be in Karratha by 1.30 pm as we only had a short period of time when we could use the showers at a local school.  What a spectacular morning it was.  Sunrise over the Sherlock River.
Made it into Karratha before 11.30 due to the tailwind.  What a thrill it was to ride again today.

Next two nights in Karratha Baptist Church.   A modern and well equipped facility and more than adequate to house the 40+ people we have in the group.  Dinner tonight was again in a Mining facility.  Great choice of good food at a very reasonable price.  So much so that it has been decided to go back again tomorrow night.

Bus trip arranged around the Karratha/Dampier area tomorrow morning after a sleep in till 7am.

As we are in the "Red Dog" area (movie filmed here a few years ago) it is being screened in the hall at the moment.  I, instead am sitting out side in the cool of the late evening typing up this post.  Bit warm inside for me.  Much more pleasant out here.
