Day 11 10th July Giralia Stn to Coral Bay

Day 11   10th July  Giralia Stn to Coral Bay     106km.

Today started with breakfast prepared in the old shearers kitchen whist someone keep the pet horse from eating everything from the food trailer.

Some of the more serious riders in our group actually shave their legs (please don't ask me to explain). A quick touch up was required for Nick and as we had shearing equipment handy this seemed the appropriate time.

The shorter days are not always the easier ones and this was no exception.  4 km back along the gravel obstacle course to reach the bitumen.

Then not too bad to morning tea but after morning tea we suffered.   Head wind for the last 60 km and slightly undulating road that felt like uphill all the way.   No protection from the wind as the few tree that had provided a little protection are now completely gone, replaced by low, rough grass and scattered ant hills.

Coral Bay however, is another story.  Have to wait till tomorrow.
